After a lifetime of punching up her own medical maladies, Mariam decided that evading graft rejection was not enough and began her pursuit of the less-deadly, more-fun writing rejection. Her voice is one of levity and optimism flanked by the humanity of grief and trauma — the narrative equivalent of chocolate-covered pretzels.

Mariam worked as support staff in writers’ rooms for Netflix, Max, and Paramount+. She also wrote an episode of Disney's hit animated series, THE GHOST AND MOLLY MCGEE. In 2026, she was selected for the Disney Writing Program. Mariam is currently a staff writer on season two of SCRUBS on ABC.
