Mariam Girgis is an Egyptian American comedy writer, with one Mexican American kidney.

After a lifetime of punching up her own medical maladies, Mariam decided that evading graft rejection was not enough and began her pursuit of the less-deadly, more-fun writing rejection. Her voice is one of levity and optimism flanked by the humanity of grief and trauma — the narrative equivalent of chocolate-covered pretzels.

Mariam has worked as support staff in writers’ rooms alongside some incredible writers, producers, and showrunners on shows for Warner Bros., Netflix, Max, and Paramount+. More recently, she wrote for season two of Disney's hit animated series, THE GHOST AND MOLLY MCGEE.
